
Andy Lipkis is the founder and President of the renowned “citizen forestry” group, TreePeople, which he started at age 18 in 1973. It has inspired and mobilized volunteers in planting and caring for over two million trees in Los Angeles and provides a model for environmental, economic, and social sustainability in cities everywhere. Andy is the recipient of numerous local, national and international awards, including an Ashoka fellowship, and has appeared in TV and films, most recently the 11th Hour and Dirt! The Movie.
