Maame Yelbert-Obeng, Ghanaian-born, has years of experience in grantmaking, philanthropy, social justice, women’s rights and development focused on Sub-Saharan Africa, working with the Global Fund for Women, UNICEF-Ghana, and World Savvy, and currently serves as the Sub-Saharan Africa Program Director at Women’s Earth Alliance. Part of several networks, including the Global Women’s Leadership Network, the African Feminist Forum, African Studies Association and the International Human Rights Funders Group, Maame is fluent in Twi, Fante, Ga, English, French and Spanish, and has studied and taught in France and Guatemala.
