Shirley K. Sneve, a member of the Rosebud Sioux (Sicangu Lakota) tribe, is the Executive Director of the Lincoln, Nebraska-based Native American Public Telecommunications, whose mission is to advance media that represents the experiences, values, and cultures of American Indians and Alaska Natives. Her many former roles include: Director of the Arts Extension Service, a national arts service organization; founder of the Alliance of Tribal Tourism Advocates; Director of the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science Visual Arts Center in Sioux Falls; Assistant Director of the South Dakota Arts Council; and Minority Affairs Producer for South Dakota Public Broadcasting.
